Single? Divorced? Widowed? The common feature seems to be alone-ness. Not necessarily loneliness (everyone is subject to bouts of that) but a general sense of not having enough people to hang around with, to spend Shabbat and holidays with, to be spontaneous with. Until now!
Shmooze Booze & Views was started by Anne Kleinberg and the first event took place on June 1, 2019 – at her home in Caesarea. First – she’s most proud of the name – a throwback to Yiddish (which she loves to listen to) and a rhythmic name to explain what she’s doing. SHMOOZE for the expectation that strangers will gather and mingle with one another, BOOZE – because any event Anne organizes has to involve food and drink, and VIEWS because her house sits on the Caesarea (Israel) golf course & the panoramic view from there is simply spectacular.
So if you’re in that category – single, around 50 or older and mostly English-speaking – feel free to join the fun!
