Gourmet Culture Club

Anne Kleinberg's Gourmet Culture Club logo

Anne Kleinberg is pleased to offer fun, delicious & creative lectures & workshops in her home in Caesarea. With her eclectic, slightly zany background – encompassing a long career in interior design, a shorter career as a journalist, a successful stint as a cookbook author, translator & editor, and triumph as a self-published novelist and an award-winning Bed & Breakfast owner – she has a lot to say and share. All courses are given at Anne’s home in Caesarea and include a sit down lunch. Here’s what’s on tap:

Friday, September 15, from 11:00-14:00

The Allure of the Pomegranate – Seductive. Symbolic. Significant.
(And how it changed Anne’s life)

From the Garden of Eden to Sex & The City, pomegranates have played a major role. Kings were enchanted with them, Queens symbolized them, Shakespeare referred to them, Samantha drank cocktails with them and scientists and anti-aging experts have long been impressed with them. And preparing food with them? Delicious!

Anne’s life was significantly affected by pomegranates, so much so that she affectionately became known as The Pom Queen and her 2004 Pomegranates cookbook (one of a kind) is still being sold in English & Hebrew.

This talk is Anne’s signature lecture – having given it at the American Ambassador to Israel’s Residence to a standing room only crowd as well as an international conference for Mediterranean Food in Mishkenot Sha’ananim in Jerusalem.

After the lecture, a sit-down lunch will be served with pomegranates featuring prominently in each course. Creative ways to use pomegranates in your cooking will be highlighted in honor of the upcoming holiday of Rosh Hashanah.

The Allure of the Pomegranate will launch our Gourmet Culture Club – be sure to sign up in advance and get a discount!
